Austrian firm Tech-Innovation has created a groundbreaking shoe designed to assist visually impaired individuals with navigation. This innovative product, named InnoMake, aims to provide greater independence and safety for its users.

The shoes are integrated with advanced ultrasonic sensors capable of detecting obstacles in the user’s path. These sensors can identify objects from as close as half a meter to as far as four meters away.

Upon detecting a potential hazard, the system immediately alerts the wearer. The warning is delivered through either vibrations in the shoes or audible alerts, allowing the user to avoid the obstacle.

Powering this technology is a built-in, rechargeable battery. A single charge, which takes approximately three hours, provides up to a full week of typical usage.

User customization is a key feature, managed through a dedicated smartphone application. The free app allows individuals to adjust settings, including the specific distance at which they wish to receive alerts.

The design also incorporates practical everyday features. The shoes are water-resistant, and the smart sensors are designed to deactivate automatically when the user is seated to conserve power.

For those interested, the InnoMake shoes are available for a trial experience in select stores across Austria. This allows potential customers to test the innovative technology before making a purchase.
