Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, may be making a dramatic return to politics. His once-close relationship with Donald Trump has soured, particularly over Trump’s proposed “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” which Musk has fiercely criticized.

The feud escalated when Musk accused Trump of being named in the Epstein Files, though he later backtracked. Despite the tension, Trump recently called Musk a “wonderful guy,” though their communication has dwindled.

Musk has now threatened to form a new political party—the “America Party”—if Trump’s spending bill passes. On X, he declared the bill “utterly insane and destructive” and vowed to create an alternative to the two-party system.

He also warned politicians supporting the bill, saying they’d face primary challenges. Musk proposed shaming them with Pinocchio-style posters labeling them “LIAR” for backing a $5 trillion debt increase.

While Musk can’t run for president (he was born in South Africa), his political ambitions remain strong. His past role in Trump’s administration as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) hints at his interest in power.

Though he stepped back to focus on Tesla and SpaceX, Musk’s recent outbursts suggest he’s not done with politics. A clash with Trump in the political arena could be on the horizon.

If Musk follows through, the “America Party” could shake up U.S. politics, offering a third option—but whether it gains traction remains to be seen.
