Two adolescent lads were passing through their neighborhood when they observed a group of people gathered around a car.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As they drew nearer, they attempted to discern what the crowd was taking in, but it was the oddest sight.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unable to move, a creature was simply frozen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the lads were aware that they needed to act swiftly to ensure the animal\u2019s survival, they were unsure of how to save the poor creature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Canadian news outlet CBC, the peculiar finding was found by friends Jaydon Pettipas and Aidan Hart in the Canadian town of Saint Andrews in New Brunswick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the day was out, the two adolescent guys would be lauded as heroes for their deeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They had to investigate what had caused the people to halt and gaze when they spotted a group of them huddled together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, even up close, they were unsure of what they were seeing.The animal appeared to be frozen solid and was hardly recognizably alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A squirrel was encased in insulating foam and imprisoned beneath an automobile. They were aware that it was at the end of its life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere was nothing recognizable about it,\u201d 15-year-old Jaydon explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lads walked inside a grocery store and obtained a tiny milk container to house the squirrel because they were aware that the squirrel needed assistance but were unsure of how to go about obtaining it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The situation grew more urgent as time went on and nobody in the boys\u2019 immediate vicinity understood what to do either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The guys called friends and family to ask for assistance.Then Jaydon\u2019s mother intervened and made a 20-mile call, where she was instructed to bring the animal in right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI had never seen anything like this before,\u201d Dr. Melanie Eagan, from St. George Veterinary Clinic said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She claimed that the squirrel could not move its back legs because it was so enmeshed in the insulation foam. The squirrel would not have lived if the boys hadn\u2019t responded so fast and if the boys\u2019 mother hadn\u2019t assisted them in bringing the squirrel inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The veterinarian suspected that the animal may have been living in someone\u2019s garage, basement or shed and got caught in the material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSomeone was probably patching up a hole trying to keep a draft out and this little guy ran through it when it was still wet,\u201d she said. \u201cBut that stuff hardens pretty quickly so it wouldn\u2019t have taken long for him to become in distress.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She claimed that removing the foam from the animal\u2019s fur required time, perseverance, and rubbing alcohol. She combed it out after that, which led to the animal losing some of its fur. Since then, the squirrel has been returned to the wild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
