Since Joe Biden \u201ccould not be trusted,\u201d Donald Trump has now revoked a significant privilege that all previous presidents have enjoyed.


<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump\u2019s goal is to restructure the majority of his predecessor\u2019s policies and usher in what he calls \u201cAmerica\u2019s golden age\u201d during his presidency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump now claims that he can\u2019t \u2018be trusted\u2019 and is rescinding the former president\u2019s security clearance and daily intelligence briefing access, seemingly in a slight to Biden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He wrote on his Truth Social platform, \u201cThere is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Republican went on to say, \u201cJOE, YOU\u2019RE FIRED,\u201d a reference to his catchphrase from the television program The Apprentice, which he has been using a lot lately to fire some of Biden\u2019s former government employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump\u2019s move coincides with his accusation that Biden had excluded him from the briefings for the first time during his 2021 administration.<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biden set this precedent\u2019, he claimed, when \u2018he asked the Intelligence Community (IC) to stop the 45th President of the United States (ME!) from accessing details on National Security, a courtesy accorded to prior Presidents.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump also asserted that Biden \u201ccould not be trusted with sensitive information,\u201d referencing an investigation into confidential file storage that revealed the 82-year-old had memory problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He wrote, \u201cThe Hur Report revealed that Biden suffers from \u201cpoor memory\u201d and, even in his \u201cprime,\u201d could not be trusted with sensitive information. I will always protect our National Security.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a courtesy, all former presidents are invited to attend sensitive intelligence briefings; however, Biden denied Trump access in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biden said Trump\u2019s \u2018erratic behavior\u2019 was the deciding factor behind the move, adding, \u201cWhat value is giving him an intelligence briefing? What impact does he have at all, other than the fact he might slip and say something?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Numerous former CIA directors and scores of other former intelligence personnel have also had their security clearances revoked by Trump, who has accused them of influencing the 2020 election in favor of Biden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Milley, a senior US military commander and outspoken opponent of the Trump, is among those dismissed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the BBC, Milley\u2019s military grade has been reviewed and a probe into his \u201cconduct\u201d has been requested by Pete Hegseth, the new defense secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anthony Fauci, the president\u2019s former main medical adviser, has also lost access to security information. Trump insisted that it was \u201cvery standard\u201d to remove such individuals from the right, despite the fact that Fauci headed the US response to the coronavirus outbreak.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
