Former President Barack Obama almost lost it on Monday when he yelled at former President Donald Trump after Trump\u2019s very successful rally at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some people on the left were upset about a joke insult comedian Tony Hinchcliffe told about Puerto Rico in which he called the island a \u201cfloating island of garbage.\u201d Obama agreed with these people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the left got angry, a number of X users posted true stories and links to the island\u2019s ongoing battle with trash, along with photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, Obama did what he does best during a speech in Philadelphia for Vice President Kamala Harris: he stoked hatred and division among different groups of Americans, even though he was supposed to be an agent of \u201cunity\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump wants us to believe that the United States is hopelessly split between us and them\u2014that is, between \u201creal Americans\u201d who support him and \u201cenemies within.\u201d Because what did I say about making noise? Cast your vote. For the simple reason that Donald Trump knows that dividing people and making them angry will help him win the election. It\u2019s true. It\u2019s not good for the country, but it could help him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was last night\u2026 While the man was holding a big rally at Madison Square Garden, the warm-up speakers said and spread the worst racist, sexist, and bigoted ideas. Someone said that Puerto Rico was \u201can island of garbage.\u201d These people are his fellow citizens, he says. In Philadelphia, they live next door to you. They work with you and are your friends. Their kids go to the same school as yours. These are real people from the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s why this election shouldn\u2019t be close. It needs to be clear. Always remember that you shouldn\u2019t vote for someone if they don\u2019t respect you and see you as a fellow citizen with the same rights to opportunities, happiness, and the American Dream. They won\u2019t be able to make your life better. They won\u2019t help you make money or pay your bills. They won\u2019t work hard, so make sure your child goes to a good school. They won\u2019t give you money for a down payment on a house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, we need to reject the politics of hate and division that we saw. The United States is ready to move on. The people of America want a better story. Philly, we\u2019re ready for Kamala Harris to be president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her closing speech at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday night, Harris used more divisive language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEither Donald Trump or I will be in the Oval Office in less than 90 days.\u201d She said, \u201cIf he were elected, Donald Trump would walk into that office on day one with a list of people he hates.\u201d This was another common myth that Trump would use the Justice Department against him, like she and Vice President Biden have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
