He was 78 years old. Donald Trump told everyone on Thursday that Dobbs had died, just hours before he was supposed to give his acceptance speech on the last night of the Republican National Convention.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tearsoffaith.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/5-38.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14791\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cLou Dobbs, the Great, has died,\u201d Trump wrote on Truth Social. \u201cA friend, and a truly amazing reporter, journalist, and artist.\u201d He knew more than most about the world and what was \u201chappening.\u201d Lou was unusual in many ways, and he loved his country. We\u2019re sorry for his family and his wonderful wife, Debi. He will be missed a lot. A cause of death was not given right away.Once upon a time, Dobbs worked as a reporter for the local radio station KBLU in Arizona, covering police and fire cases. In the middle of the 1970s, he switched to working in television and joined NBC\u2019s King-TV in Seattle. Furthermore, Dobbs was one of the first reporters at CNN when Ted Turner started the network in 1980. Later that year, he joined Fox Business and was given his own late-night show, Lou Dobbs Tonight. Fox, on the other hand, ended his time there in 2021 when they cancelled his show.
